Apple’s reliance on China’s manufacturing industry – specifically that which is suspected to be tainted with forced Uighur labour – casts a dark shadow over the company’s overseas operations.
We have an uncomfortable rating on investing in Apple for a halal standpoint and despite recent severing of ties with Ofilm group over allegations of Uighur labor abuse, Apple’s continued ties with at least 7 other suspected violators caused us to reaffirm our Uncomfortable rating.
